Well, the battery finally died in Mom's camera, and it took her a whole month to get it recharged! Not that it slowed me down any, and luckily Aunt Wendi had her iPhone handy to take pictures of at least some of my antics.
We spent Easter weekend in Cayman Kai, Mom called us gypsies in the palace.  We went out on the boat, played in the water and went for walks on the beach. Thanks to Uncle Mikol and Aunt Rebecca for putting us up! We wanted to stay, but no place for Wally and Flurt, like their back yard.
I went to Miami with Mom for her Doctor's visit, he said she is cured, whatever it was that was wrong with her! It was before my time. We made our usual shopping rounds and went to Ft Lauderdale to visit an old friend of Mom's. I tried to be a good girl, but there was so much to see! Luckily Aunt Wendi's legs are young and she doesn't mind running after me. We had frozen yogurt. Yummy!
May has flown by and now here it is, June. I am almost 2! And I tell people so. I am NOT a baby. I am a big girl! Plus I now know "I am not laughing, I’m serious!" Kem and Daddy are so funny, they take everything so seriously. I also know "Who my Mama is".
The mangoes are almost gone and hurricane season is here. So take care. See you soon!
Hugs and Kisses,

March 2011 ~ Things are heating up here, the hot pepper plants are blooming and we pickled a whole bunch! Let us know and we can send you a jar.

I finally learnt to say Aunt Fiona. I love mastering new words. It makes everybody smile. Everything is fine, my cast is off now, the dogs are still barking, Daddy is still miserable, Mom still calls me baby girl. I went to Miami with Mom, she had to work, so I stayed with my Pookie Yandi (Wendi). She is so much fun, we played beauty shop and dress up, can you imagine? I like to do things all by myself and I am having to work on Mommy to get her trained about it.

All the family came out to Cayman Kai for cousin Ta-Ta’s wedding. It was really pretty on the beach at Uncle Mikol’s & Aunt Rebecca's, and I am still saying “No Chelby, Chelby No!” whenever something goes wrong.

We finally got to go back out on the boat this past Sunday, til now, it’s been too cold for this island girl. Daddy and Uncle Charlie can sure put away that apple juice in the pretty bottle.

Not much else to report, so hang in there, Easter break is coming up. If you want to talk to me, I like to Skype pretty well - that’s how my Pookie Yandi and I stay in touch, a phone is so outdated.

Don’t forget to pray to gentle Jesus for all those people in Japan.

February, 2011 ~ Sorry about the late update, but Mom and Dad have been real busy and I could not find a good secretary to document my commentary.
Well the bad news is I fractured my arm. I thought I could fly off the new slide but my wings did not open in time. A little inconvenient and it scratches, but all in all and this too shall pass.
Apart from that, my vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds – the people at the bank were very excited when I wished them “Happy New Year! Pretty soon, I could also answer Happy New Year with “and to you too”.  Language is much, much fun. Burt has become Flurt, and bone, phone! Amazing. Still can’t wrap tongue around saying Fiona, though. She will have to suffer with being called Charlie a little while longer.
I remember everything. I have a swing in the backyard too and it’s real cool, especially when I go up high, it really gets my blood running and it feels good, but don’t worry, I’m not trying that flying stunt again.
In January, we spent 4 days in Jamaica. I had the run of 2 beach houses with a pool and the sea just beyond. We ate and laughed and swam, it was so much fun, and there were these lovely people there who did all the fixing of everything and even cleaned up the kitchen! They loved to play with me and there was a cat there and she let me pet her. I got a nice little tan line, but we were careful not to get burned.
Everybody here is fine, Wally and Flurt are still barking up a storm. I enjoy helping out with tasks like feeding fishes each day.  I call out next door for Dr T’s yard man, his name is Russell and I meet him at the fence. He helps us keep track of Wally. I love gazing at the moon in the evenings and am getting to know the schedule of Cayman Airways flights in the morning, Planes are fascinating  - I love the Vaboom!
You all take care and I will tell Jesus to love you too.

December flew past us like Santa and his 8 reindeer. We had a happy Christmas. I got lots of great presents from Santa and my family. Santa gave me a baby dolly and I take good care of her; we like having tea parties together.

We did a lot of shopping this month and I can say Targea'. Aunt Wendi taught me that one. I love shoes now, all colors, but my pink Crocs are my favorite. There is so much to learn and it’s hard being a sponge, it takes so long to pick open all the doors and drawers with those gadgets they put on them now a days, anyway when I grow a couple more inches I will rule the counters.

I’m not allowed in Daddy’s office anymore, I don’t know why he gets so upset when I take apart his gadgets. I think the stuff looks much better on the ground anyway. No one wants to compromise anymore - it’s always their way and I am getting sick of hearing no, no, no. I can wiggle my finger and look over my brow just like Aunt Wendi. It always gets a laugh, and then they forget why they were mad in the first place.

I got a tricycle for Christmas, I really like it; I can say Bike. They don’t make Schwinns like they used to though, I think it was made in China – one of the pedals already fell off, Daddy says Mom got a lemon.

I played with my favorite people this month, Jak and Abril. Abril speaks Spanish and English too! Boy, is she smart. If Daddy gets mad with me now, can you imagine when I start speaking Spanish. I will work on it and report later in the year. I also figured out Uncle Charlie grows one of my favorite foods: pumpkins! His pumpkins are sweet and good. Whenever he sneaks in and drops off a pumpkin on the back patio, I yell out: Charlie!

Thanks to everyone that helped me so much this year and hope you all have a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

All My

Love,

Flinn

October 2010 is gone and it was my second Halloween. Boy did I have fun. This year I was an angel and it suited my personality.
I looked like the angel I really am. The candy business was not so great, I can’t seem get the wrappers off as quickly as I want to eat them. Not that I am an inventor or anything, but why has no one figured out to make the wrappers edible? Well, if they can’t figure out the Federal budget, how can I expect them to figure out candy for kids.
October lived up to everything they said it would as a rainy season, it rained and rained and rained and maybe we will still get a hurricane. Our friends in Jamaica cannot take any more rain and please don’t ask Daddy about a hurricane in Cayman, it'

s so embarrassing what he says. We don’t need any storms messing up our Thanksgiving plans either - there's so much to look forward to, especially seeing the whole family.

I breezed through the Ft Lauderdale Boat Show with Daddy, we didn’t see anything better than what we already have.  I nearly got Daddy a black eye, though. We were in line trying to get to a booth, and I pulled down this lady's tube top from behind, then I turned away when I realized it was no one I knew. For a moment, she thought it was Daddy who’d done it and she was just about to let him have it, but I saved him and smiled; she realized I was the guilty one and started laughing. I have to make sure Daddy knows that if he slips up, I can trip him up!
I got my final round of shots for awhile, so was not feeling my best, ran a fever and a rash - I didn't sleep well. At least now I don’t have to go back to the doctor until I am two, and I will be a big girl by then. You take care and Jesus will take care of us.
Hugs and kisses, Flinn

Sept. 2010 - So, we're a little late with the update this month. I just don't know where the days go! There's fish to feed, Thursday night dinners to plan, drawers and cupboards to pull open, over and over again, then we take a little trip to Miami, we mess around up there, and it's time to come home and start rearranging things all over again!

Anyway, just to let you know, we'll do the best we can to keep you all updated in a timely basis. But bear with us, there's only so many hours in a day! And I rule 12-15 of 'em.
I still love all my favorite things, swimming, Wally, Flurt, Curtis, Kem, Mommy, Daddy, the fish and of course Olive and Tinkerbell. Tinkerbell is our new green bird and she fits right in. I think she likes me. She doesn't seem as interested in my little fingers as Olive does. We have new fish. I like going to the pet store to help pick them out.
I'm looking forward to Halloween this year. Mommy showed me a very cute mermaid costume, but it comes with a thing to go on my head. I don't do headbands! Wait and see.

August, 2010 breezed right past me. I figured since I am a year old now, it’s time to really start talking. Daddy is sort of mad because I could say Wally before I could say Dada. Well, the good thing is, saying Ma Ma is no problem! Shows you I know where my bread is buttered. I can say milk, Curtis, and Kem. I even shout after Wally when he runs away.
Even when I try to hold Wally, he plays a little too rough for me, but I have fun with Flurt. She loves to kiss me and let me pet her, and if I squeeze too hard, she just walks away from me, she doesn't get mad. She knows I just love her.
Climbing is fun, hitting the ground is sort of rough, especially those big cocos I get. Breadfruit and cherries from the garden are my favorites and I am really enjoying Jamaican-style cooked food (chicken and oxtail!) with lots of spices.
Everyone says travelling is not what it used to be, and boy, do I know it.  They won’t let me run up and down the plane aisles and I have to stay fastened to Mommy with this little red seat belt. Restrictions, restrictions, restrictions, no fun.

Hugs and kisses, Flinn

So the big news for July, 2010 is that I am 1 year old!
Mom of course spent the day asking everyone if they knew what they were doing exactly one year ago today. We had a party too and all my favorite people came! Even Matthew and Jordan. We had cupcakes and sang and danced and I got lots of nice presents. It was a great day.
I went to the Doctor for my 1 year check-up and he says I am doing fine. I got big teeth on the sides now and I can chew anything.
My friend Jak Hurlstone had a birthday this month too, he had a nice party and we had lots of fun playing in the pool.
It's been a great year, I can't wait to see what the next one brings.
Hugs & Kisses, Flinn

Ossh….. June what a month. Got the walking down pat, but running, it's so difficult to keep my balance! Talking about balance, I think dancing is the thing and that reggae business is so much better than Old MacDonald had a farm.
Uncle Hardley came to visit and so did Uncle Benji. They brought lots of presents but Daddy drank them all, Uncle Charlie helped a little too.
Finally met Uncle Sean but think he was not supposed to be there, all looked familiar, like when I was born, guess I will see him soon when he comes to Cayman, hope he does not bring presents in a bottle, Daddy seems to gulp it before I can get to it.
Anyway, went to my first July 4 Independence celebrations, what a noise, but the fireworks were great, we put up some video up so you can enjoy it also.
Ohh ….. Shopping is so tiresome, Daddy says Mommy’s Target shares will do well if we keep it up. Not too sure about Auntie Wendi’s Wal-Mart shares, guess in time I will understand this coupon thing.
Plums, they are great, I have one off the tree every day, come by and get some, I'll show you how to pick one, come early or the mozzies will get you.
See you later, hurricane season is here, so be safe.
